Talaat & Imam Consulting Engineers (T&l) is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy and certified House of Expertise, dedicated to advancing infrastructure development across the Middle East. With over 45 years of experience, we specialize in the planning, design, and supervision of complex civil and environmental infrastructure projects that serve communities, support economic growth, and promote long-term sustainability.
Established in 1980, T&l provides end-to-end consulting services from concept development and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, tendering, construction supervision, operational support, and capacity building.Our clients include government agencies, public utilities, private developers, and international development organizations.
To support the rising infrastructure needs in the Gulf region, T&l established its affiliated company, T&l Emirates, in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2022. This strategic expansion enables us to better serve clients across the GCC with localized expertise and regional presence

Our Journey
From Shared Vision to a Legacy of Impact
Talaat & Imam Consulting Engineers (T&l) was born from the vision of lifelong friends Eng. Mahmoud Talaat and Dr.Emad Imam, who aimed to unite academic excellence with practical industry experience to deliver purpose driven infrastructure. Their efforts were guided and strengthened by the mentorship of H.E. Eng. Ahmed Talaat Tawfik, former Minister of Housing, whose values of integrity, service, and technical excellence became the foundation of the firm.
In 1980, T&l was formally established by H.E. Eng. Ahmed Talaat, Eng. Mahmoud Talaat, Dr. Emad Imam, and Eng. Amr Ta-laat, creating a consultancy dedicated to engineering excellence and impactful infrastructure development. Over the years, Eng. Amr Talaat played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s capabilities and regional footprint.
Today, T&l thrives under the combined leadership of its founding partners and the second generation – Dr. Hoda Talaat and Dr. Yehya Imam – who continue the legacy while driving innovation to meet the demands of the future.
