Brief Description
The project comprised a comprehensive assessment of the existing sewerage network along the Nile’s West Bank, evaluating the system adequacy in light of future population growth. It included a capacity and operational review of the Abu Rawash and Zeneen WWTPs (1.5 million m³/day total), and examined the feasibility of rerouting main sewers to a proposed southern pumping station. The design featured two 1500 mm diameter forcemains conveying flows to the planned 600,000 m³/day Shabrament WWTP. Full tender documents were prepared to support project implementation.
